MORE INFO
Centella asiatica

Over 3000 years ago the inhabitants of India, Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands used centella in the treatment of cutaneous lesions. But its chemical composition was only proven in 1941.2 The centella, which grows spontaneously in shady and humid areas, is found in Western Europe, as well as in South American countries such as Brazil and Venezuela. It is a refreshing, but bitter and acrid plant of which leaves are the main parts used.2
